Bird Man

Have you heard that I’m a bird?

Didn’t you receive the word?

I flew the coop the other day,

And landed here an egg to lay.

I like it in this giant nest.

There’s lots of room, that’s the best.

I’ll lay big eggs with double yolks,

If you won’t tell chicken jokes.

We’ll have scrambled eggs each day,

And we’ll never need to pay.

If one day I seem moody,

You will know that I’m broody.

Then I’ll sit until they’re hatched.

I’ll have chicks that can’t be matched.
