There is a
child in every one of us,
And to be
set free that child is itching.
Once a year,
we don costumes without fuss,
On Halloween
to do a little witching.
If we wear
our best disguise at parties,
Our inner
child might well pop into view.
I plan to
dress as a pirate me hearties.
What is the
favored persona for you?
We would go
Trick or Treating, if we could,
And those
short enough to pull it off might.
Most will
take the kids around as they should,
Because to
horn in on their joy isn’t right.
Don't be so grown
up that you miss the fun.
Halloween’s
a holiday to go back,
To childlike
days before wonder was gone,
So be silly,
dress the part, get on track.
